What, someone else looking over my shoulder? Most people say no thanks at this point and kindly excuse themselves. How about if that big brother effect or someone watching is not a "someone" at all, but a something? Now, were talking and the implementation of this type of monitoring tool can greatly improve the success of any business. Monitoring visitors, clicks and their actions can greatly improve any marketing campaign, regardless of what type the business owner is using.
Monitoring where the visitors are coming from and how they landed on the site is about as important as the site itself. This is because if a business owner is spending money on a marketing technique that is not yielding results, it may be time to change it or pull the plug all together. Since article marketing is highly effective, it should be monitored as to which directories are gathering the most hits and therefore directing the visitor to the site. With this information the site owner can either dedicate more time and resources to this particular directory, or try another technique.
Without statistics and knowing how marketing techniques are working, the business owner is really left without a clue. Even if the results are something that the owner does not want to hear they can turn it into a learning experience that can improve the site. This is not something that will change and the owner must be the one to make changes, improvements and learn different marketing ways. Every site should have a monitoring system detailing where visitors come from, what they do on the site and whether or not they visit again.
